Guam Visitors Bureau

Guam is an island blessed with a rich cultural legacy and spectacular natural beauty. The Guam Visitors Bureau, known throughout the region simply as GVB, welcomes all visitors with the hospitable Hafa Adai spirit Guam has become famous for since the advent of tourism touched our shores more than four decades ago. The name Guam comes from the ancient Chamorro word, Guahan, which means “we have.” What Guam has to share with you is an island well-known to international travelers for its turquoise and tranquil seas, white sandy beaches, and year-round tropical climate. The island also boasts the finest luxury hotels in the western Pacific and a world of duty free shopping, all under the umbrella of Americana.

Guam Chamber of Commerce

The Guam Chamber of Commerce exists to advance the general welfare of its members by promoting the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the Territory of Guam; the Chamber seeks to develop, encourage, promote and protect the commercial, professional, financial, and general business interest of the Territory of Guam, to extend and promote the trade and commerce, and foster, develop and protect the industry of the Territory; to procure laws and regulations desirable for the benefit of business in general; and to provide a forum for the reflection of sentiments of business regarding matters affecting its interests.

The scope of Chamber activities is unlimited, depending on the needs of the community and the desire and ability of the Chamber to carry them out. Chambers of Commerce have traditionally been the information agency of an area or community, maintaining factual data, folders and maps to answer inquiries of all types, whether they be personal interviews, by telephone or by mail, coming from residents and visitors alike. The Chamber promotes the area's economy and encourages business and industrial investment, broadening the tax base and providing employment. To business prospects and newcomers, the Chamber represents the community's “front door.”
